Karasuno Anime Sound

We are Karasuno Anime Sound, a new anime band born in Turin. Our name stems from a shared passion for anime and a little linguistic wordplay (or misunderstanding!) that represents us perfectly. "Karasuno" is a direct reference to the anime Haikyuu!!, where the main team belongs to a school named Karasuno, written with the kanji 烏野, which translates to "field of crows". But here comes the best part: the Japanese kanji for "crow" (烏 – karasu) looks very much like the one for "bull" (鳥 – ushi). When we noticed this, it immediately felt like a sign: Turin, our city, has always been linked to the symbol of the bull. And in some strange way, that "Karasuno" seemed to speak to us of home. That’s how our name was born, from an intertwining of passions: for Japan, for music, for anime culture, and for our city.

Our Story

We are Karasuno Anime Sound, a new anime band born in Turin. "Karasuno" is a direct reference to Haikyuu!!, where the main team attends Karasuno High, written with the kanji 烏野, which translates to "field of crows".
But here’s the kicker: to our eyes, the Japanese kanji for "crow" (烏 – karasu) looked an awful lot like the one for "bull" (鳥 – ushi). When we made this connection, it immediately felt like a sign. Our hometown, Turin, has always been historically linked to the symbol of the bull. So, in some strange way, the name "Karasuno" seemed to speak to us of home.
